2nd Annual Car Raffle Helps with Cancer Prevention
This year's vehicle is a 2008 Ford Mustang GT Premium that will go to the lucky winner of the Foundation's raffle.
Funds from the Raffle and other activities will be used to pay for the digital mammography equipment in United's Breast Care Suite. We know that early detection is critical to improving overall survival rates for breast and other cancers. This advanced technology makes it possible to detect cancer earlier than the traditional film method. The new digital equipment creates precise images that can be transmitted via the internet to patients' physicians, or to facilities such as the University of Washington for interpretation.

With the purchase of digital mammography equipment the Breast Care Center at United General Hospital is equipped with the most advanced technology for detection of breast cancer.
It is the goal of the United General Hospital Foundation to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. We would be extremely thankful for your visionary support of breast cancer treatment.
For more information on cancer prevention or the fundraising campaign, please contact Ellen Johnson at 856-7315 or by email at ellen.johnson@unitedgeneral.org

The Mustang Raffle tickets are available for $10 each, and can be purchased at North Cascade Ford, the United General Hospital Gift Shop, or from any United General Hospital Foundation Board member.
Drawing will be held September 13, 2008, at Skagit Speedway

Congratulations to last year's winner, Mike Buzzard of Mount Vernon, lucky winner of a brand new 2007 Ford Mustang convertible.  Mike held winning ticket number 01125.

Digital Mammography

It is our hope that one day no one will have to face a holiday without a loved one because of breast cancer. But until then, please join us in protecting the women we love, one mammogram at a time.

What is United General doing to save lives? Without question, the most effective tool in combating breast cancer is early detection by mammogram. We believe the best way to achieve that goal is by investing in the latest, most effective solution--digital mammography. The United General Hospital Foundation is committed to raising the funds to purchase digital mammography equipment. United General has a proud history of offering the best in cancer care. But to provide next-generation advances like these...

we need your help today

Digital mammography is the most advanced technology for detection of breast cancer. We know that early detection is critical to improving overall survival rates for breast and other cancers. With the purchase of digital mammography equipment the Breast Care Center at United General Hospital will be equipped with the most up-to-date digital technology, allowing mammograms to be transmitted via satellite to facilities outside our region for interpretation by other physicians, if needed.

It is the goal of the United General Hospital Foundation to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. We would be extremely thankful for your visionary support of breast cancer treatment.

This year, please make a gift in honor of all the women you love, a gift that could one day save their lives. Won’t you help us keep pace with the latest and best lifesaving technology (like digital mammography) by sending your tax deductible donation today. $20, $50, $100, or more--whatever amount you are comfortable giving--will help us defeat breast cancer in a tangible way, and will help us maintain the high quality of care you expect from United!
